Animated film Robots has entered the UK and Ireland box office chart at number one, replacing comedy Hitch at the top.
The movie, which features the voices of Ewan McGregor and Halle Berry, took £2.62 million in ticket sales.
Other new entries included Constantine starring Keanu Reeves at three and Pooh's Heffalump Movie at five.
Robots, which tells the story of a robot inventor moving to a big city, topped the North American box office in its first weekend of release.
Darkness
Previews of the film are included in the new figures, without with Will Smith's latest film Hitch - a global box office chart-topper, would have remained at number one.
The only other new entry inside the top ten was Darkness, a horror film starring Anna Paquin, who shot to fame in 1993's The Piano.
The actress won a best supporting actress Oscar for her role at the age of 11.
McGregor, who voices inventor Rodney Copperbottom in Robots, is also joined by Oscar winner Jim Broadbent and comic Mel Brooks in the film.
The Scottish actor has also lent his voice to animated caper Valiant, which was produced at the Ealing Studios and is due for the release on 25 March.
The film tells the tale of a group of pigeons who were decorated for their heroic feats during World War II.
Other members of the British cast include comedians Ricky Gervais, John Cleese and Rik Mayall, Jim Broadbent and Tim Curry - famed for his role in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
