The Incredible Hulk might not have been quite the box office bonanza that Marvel hoped for (the company’s execs can always dry their eyes on some of those spare Iron Man bank notes), but it was hardly a flop. Yet star Edward Norton seems unsure as to whether he’ll be asked back for any follow-up.
Yes, apparently the man at the centre of the film is as much in the dark as anyone else outside of the comics company, according to MTV. “The minds of Marvel are sometimes opaque,“ the actor says. “I won’t say they're obtuse, but I don’t have any idea what they want to do.”
And what of the future of the Marvel movie universe, which includes a plan to gather the likes of Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk as The Avengers? He’s not convinced yet. “They’ve got this notion of collecting the Marvel characters. Who knows where they’ll go?”
Perhaps he can call up Jon Favreau and get some patience techniques for use in dealing with Marvel’s noncommittal tone.
